My boyfriend and I found ourselves during a weekend trying to find a good restaurant to eat at without any reservation. Mid-Summer, post-lockdown, good luck finding something! Anyhow, we somehow discovered this Camping Mar Restaurant by mistake, take what you find kind of thing. Our expectations were surprisingly exceeded. Lucky us!
This is the place you must give it a go if you value good food and a glamourous but relaxing atmosphere.

The staff
Was laid back, funny and professional. They even indulged themselves with the patience of answering to me when talking to them with my broken Spanish. Highly appreciated!
A waitress suggested trying the Tallarina a la Brasa with Saphire since they are well known for this dish. She was right! The taste of the fresh herbs and garlic was perfectly balanced. They mastered this recipe.
The Cheesecake though, was our highlight. It was a crustless cheesecake but the texture, the taste, the sweetness.. everything was a joy to our taste buds..
Their Food
If you love good food, Camping Mar Restaurant is the place is for you. The menu here is mainly a Mediterranean one. You’ll find dishes like the typical Spanish paella, delicious tapas and divine mussels. You’ll find other options like steak or burger too.
My boyfriend was impressed with the Steak’s side dish: the broccoli had a nice smoked flavour and its texture was perfect.
I found the clams with samphire and garlic one of the best dishes on the menu.
The restaurant’s vibes are more like smart-casual. Customers seemed pretty relaxed (like everywhere in Barcelona) but well dressed and poshed-up.
Camping Mar has gained us as repetitive customers. Now whenever we talk about this restaurant, we name it “the one with THE cheesecake” hence the name of the post.
